Sister Kathleen’s Kindergarteners dictated their version of how to cook a turkey.  Enjoy their creativity as you give thanks this day!

Turkey Recipes

2014

 

Christopher

  1. Go to the far away woods. Look on the ground.  There will be a little   bit of turkeys.  Get the one that’s by the tree.
  2. Take it to a police officer and get him to shoot it for you.
  3. Cut off the feathers off with a peeler.
  4. Put a lot of chicken bones inside. Put a smiley face made of marshmallows on the outside.
  5. Put a bottle-full  of ketchup on top of it all.
  6. Put it in the oven and put the oven on number 2.
  7. Leave it in there for about 5 minutes. Touch it and if it is hot then take it out.
  8. Eat it with your daddy and mommy and brother and sister.

 

Chloe

  1. Go to WalMart and get 2 brown turkeys that are any size.  It will cost $20.
  2. Get a big pan. Put both turkeys in the pan.
  3. Put a little dibble of cinnamon on top. Put a cup of sugar at the bottom.  Put a boxful of flour in the pan.
  4. Make stuffing out of hot dogs and oranges. Mix in some milk but it should be pretty dry.  Put the stuffing in the top of the turkeys.
  5. Put the gravy from the store in the bottom of the pan.
  6. Put the oven on 7 and put the turkeys in for 10 hours. While they’re  in there you should wait.
  7. Look on the clock and when the time is up go check them. If they  look dry then they are done and you should take them out of the oven.
  8. Let them cool down for 1 minute and then check it its cool enough.   Then just eat it.

 

Twavarjai

  1. Go to the deer woods. The turkeys will be hiding in the bushes.  Get    the one that has some blue on it.  Make a hollering sound it will come out and you shoot it.
  2. Put it in the trunk of the car. Drive home.
  3. Cut the feathers off with a knife. Wash it with the bath water.  You have to dry it off too.
  4. Put 5 boxes of salt underneath the turkey and shake it up.
  5. Make dressing out of chicken meat, 1 cup of flour, and 2 bottles of water.  Mix it with your hands.
  6. Put all of the dressing under the turkey.
  7. Put 3 spoonfuls of hot sauce on top of the turkey.
  8. Bake it for 3 minutes. The oven should be way hot.
  9. It if smells good them its turkey time.
  10. Put it on plates and eat it.

 

Cienna

  1. Go to Fred’s. Pick the one that you like.  It should be a Size 8.  It will   cost 7 cents.
  2. Go home. Take the plastic off.
  3. Put a bottle full of ketchup on top.
  4. Put 1 cracker on top.
  5. Make stuffing out of a spoonful of flour, a bottle of cinnamon, 1 handful of sugar, and 1 spoonful of mustard. Mix it up and put it      inside the turkey.
  6. Put it in the oven and the oven should be just a little bit hot. If it’s too much hot it will make your mouth burn.
  7. When you hear the bell that means it is ready. It should look tasty.  Take it out.
  8. Let it sit for one day. Cut it up.  Make 3 pieces and eat it, but save some for your mom and dad.

 

 

Takeldrick

  1. Go to the turkey store. It’s all the way down there.
  2. Take a black one. It will be really tall.  Pay $1000.  That’s a lot.
  3. Go home. Wash it in the sink.  Don’t use soap.  Dry it off.
  4. Put a mouthful of sugar on top of the turkey. Put  1000 sugars under           the turkey.  Put a dot of hot sauce underneath.
  5. Make dressing out of a bottleful of ranch dressing and 1000 salts.       Put the dressing inside the turkey.
  6. Put it on the grill and cook it for 2 days. Then sniff it.  If it smells          good then it’s done.
  7. Put it on a plate and eat it with hot dogs.

 

Sandra

  1. Go to J.C. Penny’s and look for turkey. Take the one that’s beautiful    You will pay $3.00.
  2. Go home. Put a cupful of cinnamon on top of the turkey.  Put 1 cup of milk in the bottom.  Put 1 teaspoon of sugar on top.
  3. Put the oven on number one and put the turkey inside. Leave it in there for 1 minute.  While it is cooking your should wait.
  4. When the oven does this, “Peep!” then take it out of the oven and  you should pour the milk.  Cut the turkey in 1 piece and then pray and eat.

Nehemiah

  1. Go to Double Quick. The turkeys will be where the hot dogs are.  Pick the one that you have never tasted before.  It will be a Size 5.  You will pay 5 cents.
  2. Go home. Open the turkey.  Put spoonfuls of pepper sauce on top.
  3. Crack open 2 eggs and stir them up and put them underneath the turkey.
  4. Make some stuffing. Cut up 3 apples.  Put 3 spoons of cinnamon with the apples.  Put 3 spoonfuls of sugar with all that.  Put 4 spoons of hot sauce with all that and put it all together where it belongs outside the turkey.
  5. Put it in the microwave for 5 minutes. When it is beeping it is done.
  6. Let it cool off for one minute. Then you cut it up and eat it with a fork.

 

Devin

  1. Go to Save-A-Lot. Look for the turkeys in the carts.  Pick a fat one  that is 17 pounds.  It will have to cost $5.00.
  2. Take it home. You open it from the paper.  Put it in a tall pan.
  3. Make stuffing. Use 5 cups of flour, 1 cup of butter, and 5 cups of  white sugar.  Mix up 4 cups of water with all that.
  4. Put the stuffing inside the turkey, but just leave 4 out.
  5. Put on the grill for 17 minutes. When it stops grilling it will be done.
  6. Take it out of the pan. Put 1 cup more of butter on top.  Let it  get glistening.
  7. See if it’s ready and if it is, then take it cut it in 4 pieces.
  8. Take all the bones out with a knife. Then cut it up in some  more pieces.
  9. Put more butter under and on top of the turkey.
  10. Pray and then eat it.

 

Jimena

  1. Go to WalMart. Pick the one that is different.  Pay for it and pay 1 cent.
  2. Take it home and make the stuffing. Get some corn and put in  3 eggs.  Then put in 1 drop of milk.  Mix it up a lot and put it  inside the turkey.
  3. Put 2 cups of ketchup on top so it will taste good.
  4. Put 2 shakes of pepper on top too.
  5. Put 1 peanut on the bottom of the pan.
  6. Put it in the oven and the oven should be very hot so it will be ready.
  7. Leave it in the oven for 2 days. If it smells good then you should  take it out.
  8. Put it on a plate and get some forks and knives and it eat it all up.

 

Abigail

  1. Go to WalMart and look for turkeys in the chicken freezer.  Get the long one.  Pay 1 cent for it.
  2. Go home. Cut it in 4 pieces.
  3. Put 2 cupfuls of cinnamon on the bottom.
  4. Put 3 cups of mustard on and rub it in.
  5. Put the oven on number 5 and put the turkey in. Leave it in there 3 minutes.  You should call your mama and your daddy while  you wait.
  6. Look at the numbers and when you see 0 then it will be done.
  7. Put it on the table. Put 1 cup of salt on top.
  8. You hear daddy knock on the door and you say “Hi!” and daddy says “Here I am!”  Then you say, “Surprise, the turkey’s ready!”
  9. Eat it!
