Catholic Schools Week included an opportunity for the Sisters and Friars to meet with our students to share thoughts and experiences related to religious vocations. Each pair of classes was assigned a Friar and/or a Sister to give a living testimony to the call to Religious Life. Each team or individual found their own way to share their message in an age appropriate way with their appointed class.
- Fr. Cam was pleased to meet with the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes, where he told the story of Saint Francis and then his own story. After hearing these the little ones had many questions for Father Cam!
- Brother Craig and Sister Annette challenged the first and second graders to remember the story of the call of Samuel, which was dramatized by the Kindergarteners at a school mass. Remembering this call in Scripture prepared the students to hear Br. Craig’s and Sister Annette’s vocation stories too!
- Brother Patrick explained the root of the word “vocation ” to the third and fourth grade classes. Sister Kathleen led a paper tearing project which illustrated a story about making choices according to God’s will.
- Fr. KIm talked about his vocation and the vows while Sister Elena explained the stages of Formation with the 5th and 6th graders.
- The students in each room were receptive and respectful in receiving the stories shared about the consecrated life.
